Another good spot ruined
I was last here in 2014 and had this place to ourselves. Now at the end of 2025, it is massively overcrowded now that the tour buses have found it.
Now there is an endless queue to climb the waterfall, and the tranquility is gone with people shouting instructions to each other.
And of course, people hold up the queue for a selfie halfway up.
But it is free. In the gap between Christmas and New Year, just had to register with the park rangers’ desk as you go in. At some point in the future, they will realise there is good money to be made by charging to go in. It might also help to keep the crowds down a bit.
On the way in, you walk past the restaurants and food carts that weren’t here in 2014.
The food was good, particularly the rotisserie chicken.
